Das Set dient zur qualitativen In-vitro-Bestimmung des Covid-19-Antigens mithilfe eines menschlichen vorderen Nasenabstrichs. Der Test dient als Schnelluntersuchung bei Verdachtsfällen auf das neuartige Coronavirus, kann aber auch als Bestätigungsmethode für den Nukleinsäure-Nachweis bei Patienten nach deren Entlassung dienen. Zusätzlich erkennt der Test folgende Virusvarianten: Omikron, Delta und Epsilon. Ein positives Testergebnis weist darauf hin, dass die Probe ein Coronavirus-Antigen enthält. Ein negatives Testergebnis schließt die Möglichkeit einer Infektion nicht aus. Dieser Test ist für medizinische Laien als Selbsttest für Zuhause und an der Arbeit (in Büros, für Sportveranstaltungen, Flughäfen, Schulen usw.) geeignet.
