The pressure equalization valve is also called a compressed air filter.
The compact, round shape saves material and space.
The grey color allows the valve to be discreetly inserted into the zinc lid. It is installed directly inside the zinc coffin or insert.

A safety valve with a stainless steel ball, acting as a slide valve and located at the bottom of the housing, is installed upstream of the filter. This protects the filter until it is actually used.

NOTE: To activate the warranty, the warranty certificate included in the packaging must be sent to CEABIS, filled out with the deceased's details and with the sticker affixed showing the production batch of the valve.
Application tips: Factors that can negate the effect of the pressure valve and lead to the release of an unpleasant odor of decay:
No tight welding of the lid and zinc coffin.
Corrosion that led to the formation of holes in the zinc coffin, caused by:
the effect of decomposition gases and bodily fluids;
the effect of electrolytic phenomena caused by a consistently high humidity.
The lid of the wooden coffin was not properly closed and is therefore unable to withstand the pressure from the decomposition gases. The wooden coffin serves as reinforcement for the zinc coffin. If the wooden coffin is not properly closed, it can indirectly contribute to the expansion of the zinc coffin. When the pressures inside the coffin act on such a large area as the lid of the zinc coffin, even at a pressure of 0.03 bar (the nominal pressure required for the valve to open), the coffin can bulge.
Mounting the valve in a position where it comes into contact with the body impairs the proper gas flow through the small valve. Ideally, the valve should be mounted at the level of the deceased's feet.
